Yes, thank you, it also has to do with stages...the settng itself is inside a temple, in the background we have a mural, as it was the tradition in olden days, in the most primitive and basic sense, woman as a symbol is presented as Godess, child, wife, mothet. Later on in the altar we have pain, sacrifice, sorrow, etc..all the ordeals that life presents and either make you stronger or break you, Life is painful and a sacrifice to whatever your going to give it too. Next to it is the idea of Apollo, the best of the best, everything good that a person can be and yet this is hidden, why? Because its afflicted by madness, although a Malkavian might want to soar with the sun, it fully can't completely do so. And that brings us to the dark, that one that will consume you and won't scape, that's who we belong too....I hope that explains a bit, I tried to remain brief...
I kinda understand your comment and I kinda of don't, but it does sound similar to what I was thinking or the first sentence does. And you know I actually didn't consider it for the vampire game as a whole...
Masquerade was unique. That does not make Requiem crap, yet most officials in their hubris thought Requiem could be dished as Masquerade sequel... it is not. It is better on character intro (requiem kinda initiation rite), yet shallow, boring, and bleak afterwards.
Bloodlines... played thru as game tester (vaguely 30 times). Depends on MODs, whereby Final Nights 1.1 & Clan Quest Mod 3.0 were quite promising. www.moddb.com (?)
Oh... I got a PDF readied. Give me an email adress & I send you a good reading on Requiem, one making sense! Though, as noted before, I liked Tremere, plus I was Pro-Sabbat luckily before seeing what USA considered Sabbat to be...
Uhm... I played "Dark Legends" in Chrome browser (app free as download, browsergame). Nice for a short while, crap in the long run.
Anyway, I am happy that some people still cherish V-TM, as it had a unique flair, which many newer products fail to offer.
I read that one Malkie writing you did, it was pretty good
That sounds like it would be a good Mod, I do however only have Crusader Kings 2, played it for a couple of days, but it does it up to much time.
Well try not to play to many games, so I don't think your missing out. In my opinion most games are very similar, so I only play a very few. This will also give you more time to continue in your writing.
Hey! I did notice all the Vampire Bloodlines references and I like the fact you spent so much time on it. Nicest part is you managed an incredible mingle of style, concept, humour in this one. Quite a classic style but the malk making fun is hilarious. Good job!
ps: i've already made some Vampire Bloodlines fanarts and I thought I was done with it but I've spend those days an awful amount of time on a picture of Jeanette. I guess I'm not cured yet, lol! Result in very few days
Thanks yeah this was one of a kind image for me, took me about 2 weeks, I was still learning about perspective and painting shadows, and a bunch of other things. I was studying the classical style of western art. Nowadays I am more into that Fauve period art style. I kind of miss being able to paint something like this, but I don't know if I could, maybe...Anyways thanks for checking it out, means a lot, I sort of painted it for all the Malks out there. Yeah ! Jeanette is cool, don't be cured lets keep making bloodlines fanart forever!!
You are not able because you lost the patience? About the fanart, god help me, I've been tempted to reinstall the game lately, lol! I'll never be done with it I fear. Not so far ago, with another deviant memeber, we tried to make a common painting on the subject. Unfortunatley it fell short due to her lack of time and being too long to answer but the idea was nice.
Well there are a couple of reasons...I have actually managed to score a couple of jobs, so that takes priority, the more I draw the faster ideas come to my head so the more I need to get them out. My priorities in drawing have changed, they are the same but expressed differently. For this painting it was about form, composition, value, depth, clarity, accuracy. Lately I still pursue that, but color is of most importance. Where before I was heavily influenced by japanese manga style and classical wastern art. My role model then was Degas, and now I am studing Mattise. And there is also no moneys from drawing bloodlines and I need thats to live
So you see when I draw bloodlines is pure love., but lets say I want to practice a new techniqure or theory I turn to the fan art and its a compromise. Yeah the idea of teaming up with another artist is something I've always wanted to try, so if you have a collab in mind I am game. I never unistall the game, it got me trough some some of those difficult periods in my life so I am going to be stuck with it forever it seems... and I don't mind at all
Yeah being commited and dedicated to drawing at all times is what will separate being able to live from drawing or not, can't be a flake, I would have been upset with her. What was the idea?
Are you an art student or do you teach by yourself? About my ex-collaboratrice, well, I wasn't upset, I do understand she was in a busy part of her life but it's just that I don't have that much time for painting and my envies come and go quickly so eventually I got bored of waiting updates. Too bad. That being said, her initial sketches proved that our styles couldn't match so I have no regret. The idea was to paint a guy in the middle of a toreador and a malkavian girl in a bar. I liked the idea of a poor guy trapped between two girls hitting on him and not knowing the dangerous place he is.
Yeh I teach myself I guess although I learn everything from others, I just don't go to a school. Hmm I am not too draw to that idea. I saw in your gallery the Dansel one, and Deb of night and those where cool, your new Jeanette one is great too. For some reason I've never actually drawn them interacting with non game characters, I like to play with the realation they might have amonst themselves, eccept for the malkie, shes more like a muse to me.
I actually noticed these things the first time I saw this; I just didn't comment. I'm assuming other people noticed as well they just failed to mention it in the comments.
Yeah, you're right. I would like to see a picture of the Anarchs at the Last Round though. You know, drinking beer, talking about how stupid Lacrioux is being, simple things. I like to think they do stuff like that rather than just stand there all day. I would like to see it kind of like [link] . That would be fantastic.
I see what you mean, no one tells me though So I just figure no one caught that, but yeah I like your sugestion a lot, that's what I was saying with that confess drawing, that is wonderful to think that these characters have lives, you know. But am not sure if I could draw another bar scene, I usually draw about things that are happening in my life, rigth now I been riding my motorcycle so thats why I feel that brujah spirit, but I am also working on some culptures that I want to finish, so I don't know where I'll be a week from now. thanks a mill
